As an artist, one thing that's critical to learn is to protect your art. Your process and ideas are valuable, so outside input from society, social media, algorithms, popular beliefs, friends, and family should be taken in the smallest doses. Being influenced by something is cool, but nothing should deter you from the way you create. Considering so many different opinions that don't include how YOU feel is draining. Make your art the way you make your art. As simple as that. No matter the craft, genre, or career path. You don't even have to be an artist to take this advise. Whatever you do, don't get discouraged in your purpose by exterior forces; protect it. And if anybody has a problem with that, they can kiss your ass!
